Instruments trusted by musicians
As a clarinet and saxophone teacher in the 1980s, I was already interested in servicing and repairing woodwind instruments. In 1998 I trained at the Buffet Crampon centre in France and received its certificate. Several years later I attended Selmer in Paris, where I deepened my knowledge of saxophone repair. Since 2007 I have been a member of NAPBIRT in the USA.
Instruments owned by amateurs, students and professionals pass through my hands, including those of well-known Latvian musicians who have trusted me with their maintenance and overhauls:
- Imants Sneibis · flutist, professor
- Guntis Kuzma · clarinetist
- Artis Sīmanis · saxophonist, professor
- Deniss Paškevičs · jazz saxophonist
